Details:
This particular Quilt Coat has been constructed from a stunning hand-stitched primitive quilt. It’s lightweight & the fabric is unmatched. The quilt is well over 100 years old & threadbare. Definitely a more “tattered” vibe as the batting is very exposed. The original backing of the quilt is in incredible condition & we were able to salvage it as the jacket liner! We’ve trimmed it with olive wool from a surplus Army blanket for a pop of contrast.
As with all vintage textiles, please expect to find signs of wear & miscellaneous flaws. It’s a part of the history & what set it apart from garments mass produced over seas. They’re marks of love & use & comfort.
