Details:
This particular Porch Coat is constructed from a vintage checkered quilt that we believe to be a beautiful & still vintage reproduction. It’s light/medium weight & ideal for easy layering. Because it’s likely not handmade, it’s ideal for lots of wear & easier washing but still remains a statement coat. Trimmed in olive wool that we repurposed from a retired military blanket.
As with all vintage textiles, please expect to find signs of wear & miscellaneous flaws. It’s a part of the history & what set it apart from garments mass produced over seas. They’re marks of love & use & comfort.
