It all started a few years back on Valentine’s Day.
As a mama of 3, I was striving to make the holiday special & something the kids would remember. I had a stack of quilt hearts I’d hand-cut from scrap & I had the thought to hide them around our home. I tucked them between the pages of books, inside soccer cleats, under pillows & just about anywhere you can imagine:).
I told the kids that anytime they found one, they could bring it to me & I’d tell them a “sweet”- our families way of saying something we love or enjoy about each other.
It didn’t just last for the day- we continue to re-hide our quilt hearts to this day! It’s a safe way to ask for a pick-me-up when we need one- to present a found heart. Just a simple way to love each other well & make our homes cozy!!
